For everyone who followed my thread "DEEEEP TROUBLE" from May 2007 I am happy to inform you that the attorney I hired had the entire ticket DISMISSED.
Now for anyone who is looking to hire a traffic ticket attorney in SoCal you have to check out Traffic Ticket Attorney (http://www.traffic-ticket-attorney.com).
Here is a link to my original thread for anyone interested in looking at it.

Outstanding news!
I do hope you learned a valuable lesson about driving at speed on public roads.
The lesson learned?
USE YOUR VALENTINE ONE AT ALL TIMES :D

@ Randall, Lesson DEFINITELY learned! Valentine One or not, I won't be doing that again.
@ CJ, I bought a nice big bottle of Patron from Costco this morning......I'll see where that takes me this weekend.
@ Maxferran, Cost me $3,500 in attorney fees and $250.00 bail amount. The bail will be refunded to me by the court in 60 days though.
@ Bmussatti, I never did tell them and they never found out. I'm in the clear!
@ Bogg, I'm on his list of fame!

Thanks!
I wasn't there for trial but from what they told me the Officer did show up but didn't bring anything with him. He didn't even have the accuracy card for the Radar he caught me on.
I didn't really ask the attorney for very much detail as I was just excited that it was dismissed.

bail??
you mean you got cuffed???!!!
Do we really have a harden criminal amongst the 986forum ranks?
Damn talk about street cred....
p.s.
I'm guessing the strategy is to re schedule your hearing until so much time has passed that the arresting officer can't find any of his papers or no longer has any recollection of anything.

Worth the cost, I'd say. Around here the lawyer usually offers a given fee and keeps whatever is left depending on what he can negotiate your charges down to.
That's about 200 bucks here in my area to get 15 mph or less down to "defective equipment." Don't ask how I know. Suffice it to say my cheap a$$ one-way rental car with Pennsylvania tags got me plucked off of a convoy (I was tail-end charlie) doing 70 in a 55 on a 4-lane hiway in perfect weather.
Wonder how I'd have faired in the Box with USMC Retired plates?
And yes Randall, I learned to take my RX-65 in a rental. I had crossed the swing bridge off the island before I thought about the detector and was too hurried to "Waste" 10 minutes to go back and risk getting caught by the bridge.
Lesson 2: Don't be first or last in a hiway crowd.
