Snow!!!!!

its snowing in chicago and i hate it!!!! I just got back from ATL last week and this is quite a change. Last night while it was snowing pretty hard i was getting back home from WI and i almost killed myself as my car was fishtailing like crazy all over the place. My tires are pretty bald i guess so i gotta get on it and get some new ones although im sure it wouldnt have been so bad since last winter was fine for the most part-it was just that about 1/3 inchaccumulated on the roads and no one went by to clean them yet so it was insanely slippery. I hate winters and snow!

I'd move to Cali in a heartbeat and not have to deal with this but my GF is opposed to moving- she loves chicago :-(

i drove my car yesterday all day, trough all that crap. im loving it actually, its so cool to drive a box trough winter.
and on top of that people look at you weird, as if you just go caught by surprise in that car lol hahah

My parents live in Atlanta, the weathers nice as far as no snow but that place is definitely not for me lol although I visit a few times a yr.

I'm used to moving, was born in Europe then lived in ATL with the family, then moved to Miami for college, and now im in Chicago. I'm trying to convince my gf to move, i love Cali- its amazing, the weather, the people, the atmosphere its just great. Shes tied down to Chicago though, born and raised. All of her family and friends are here plus she runs two businesses here so its hard for her to move. And it doesn't help she thinks cali is ghetto :-(

Me on the other hand, I'm sick of wearing jackets haha

I used to live in De Kalb. Then Geneva. I put Blizzaks on the Box here in Colorado and as long as it does'nt bottom out it's fine. Chicago is still my favorite big city but it is COLD! Here in Denver I still get a few top down days till January. Go Bears! Go Cubs!

I don't want to hear about snow - I grew up/lived in Buffalo NY for 20 years. The good thing about it was that I learned to drive there so my skills were honed. I also lived in the DC area for 15 years - some snow but more sleet/ice. Finally, I have been in Florida for the last 3 years and love it; however, I am so close to the beach (500 yards), that my cars/bike get a salt film even in the garage.

The moral of the story is, no matter where you live you have something to complain about!

Chicago is GREAT! I live and work in the Chicagoland area.
My answer for the snow... my A4 Quattro with winter tires. The thing is unreal in the snow! Last night I lost a pick-up down a snowy road. I even pulled a Jeep Wrangler out of a snow bank one time while I was boarding up at Devils Head (in Wisconsin)...

The best part of winter... we get to re-live that new Boxster feeling every spring!

I slapped the snow tires on the box anddrove through the worst snow days here in chicago so far...it is simply amazing howwell it gets around.....I am humored by all the SUV's in the ditches....

just got some Dunlop Winter Sport tires so i should be good to go, im gonna put them on tomorrow, mannnnn my tires were bald :-( lol
