Just curious when you received your last traffic ticket. They vary greatly in proce from state to state. Where you able to beat it in court ? I doubt it if you were driving the old boxster :)

Gee, I don't remember exactly when my last one was. I would have to guess it was about 14 years ago up in the San Francisco area.
I am a fast driver, but I always keep an eye out for police. Of course sometimes no matter what you do they nab you.
Since having the Boxster these last 4 1/2 months, I have not been ticketed either. Of course with this car, as you can imagine, I have had it over the speed limits by quite a bit. Tops so far, 116 for a brief period on my commute on the I-5 between Oceanside and San Clemente. Well, it always moves along at 80-90 on that stretch, but of course the Boxster makes you want to go faster than the rest of the crowd. I have to restrain myself, but sometimes you just have to have that speed!

Still ticketless after almost 10 months of Boxster ownership.
Matt, from your history, I am guesssing there is a Boxster ticket in your future not too far down the road.
1978, on a Honda CL350 - broken speedo cable, first real warm day...
I've been blessed with none since, despite a heavy foot. Truly amazing, actually.

I won't discuss this. Talk to my lawyer. Not responsible. ;)

About ten years ago. Owned a Corvette ZR1 at the time and was in Penn. attending Corvettes at Carlisle. Anyway, had taken a trip down to Maryland to visit my sister and late at night was "flying" back up to Carlisle. Radar detector gave enough advance warning to drop down out of warp speed, but I still got nailed by State Trooper who was literally parked inside a tunnel carved into a ledge wall between the interstate trolling for speeders. He knew I was going fast (I'm saying around 125) but I was on the brakes so quick and he had such a brief radar reading that he didn't really know how fast. He wrote me up as doing 80 in a 70 zone. I mailed in the check.

I have been trying to slow down after 3 tickets this year. Hopefully I can control my right foot as it has a mind of it's own:rolleyes:
