NASA Scientist: Put CEOs On Trial for Global-Warming Lies
Monday, June 23, 2008

The heads of major fossil-fuel companies who spread disinformation about global warming should be "tried for high crimes against humanity and nature," according to a leading climate scientist.

Dr. James Hansen, director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, sounded the alarm about global warming in testimony before a Senate subcommittee exactly 20 years ago.

He returned to the topic Monday with a speech at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., given to the Worldwatch Institute.

"Special interests have blocked the transition to our renewable energy future," Hansen writes in an opinion piece posted on the institute's Web site. "Instead of moving heavily into renewable energies, fossil fuel companies choose to spread doubt about global warming, just as tobacco companies discredited the link between smoking and cancer. Methods are sophisticated, including funding to help shape school textbook discussions of global warming."

"CEOs of fossil energy companies know what they are doing and are aware of the long-term consequences of continued business as usual," Hansen continues. "In my opinion, these CEOs should be tried for high crimes against humanity and nature."

Asked by a reporter about the feasibility of putting corporate CEOs on trial, Hansen dodged the question, stressing instead the need to take stronger measures against global warming.

If anyone deserves a trial it is Algore.

But if ignorance and stoopidity were illegal, what would we do with Congress?

In reply to the original post, this is the chosen strategy of the globalogna crowd.

We will claim the debate is over, while refusing to debate anyone, any time or any place.

We will claim anyone who disagrees with us is a shill for big oil.

We will demand religious faith that our computer models are unimpeachable and we will not allow facts, of any kind, to get in the way of our quest for New Left domination.

Remember the Old Left? Remember how they promised an industrial utopia of command economic genius and pure efficiency?
Well, when it became obvious to even them, they decided industrial, First World lifestyle was no longer the goal. The new goal became celebrating Third World poverty and deprevation as the goal of correct societies and environmentalism became their vehicle. We must do it for Mother Earth, we must follow the dictates of the New Left and we must all bow at the alter of the Church of the Warming Globe because this is so important that none must question.

Bull feathers. (it's what they pluck from Buffalo wings  )

Their is a huge body of peer reviewed evidence that blows the entire "the debate is over", "there is scientific consensus" crap right out of the water, yet the High Priest of the Church of the Warming Globe waddles his fat ass to that alter and continues to preach the same lies.

By the way, I think this law suit talk is in reply to the founder of The Weather Channel researching the possibility of suing Al Gore over his lies and refusal to debate anyone about what he is saying, or take part in any open forum on the subject.

The inquistion keep coming back time and time again. If you have time, go to Michael Chricton's website and read his paper "Environmentalism as Religion."

It is so dead on!
