CMP = Carolina Motorsports Park, Kershaw SC. It was a Silver Boxster with "986" on the back deck.
The reason I ask is that we went there for the 24 hours of LeMons race. You were in the bay that we had paid for that weekend. You were just sitting there on a bench with your car in the bay, obviously done for the day. When we asked you if you could back your car up (it wasn't me asking but I was standing there and he did ask nicely) so we could back our POS race car in you let us know that you had paid for the spot until 5:00 PM (it was 4:40 PM) and that you planned to start packing up in about 30 mins.
Yes, technically you had every right to be there for another 20 mins BUT since you were done for the day, you could have easily moved your car forward and helped us out. Instead you decided to be a jerk and let us know you would not even start to leave until 10 mins after your scheduled time (even though you were already packed up and just sitting on a bench.) We ended up unpacking our stuff in the dirt then moving it to shelter after you left.
I took a lot of grief that weekend for that "prick in a Porsche" mentality and I had no defense, they were right, on this occasion.
It was very unfortunate. You would think in an atmosphere like that there would be more camaraderie between fellow racers. There were other, much more expensive racecars there and none of them were in the pits. They were having fun looking at the $500.00 POS cars rolling in and being as accommodating as they could. But not you.
**Takes a deep breath** OK, I'm done venting. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Normally something like that would not bother me that much but I guess that since in was another Boxster owner, I was disappointed that, in my opinion, he made the entire community look bad.
