What's the deal with PPBB?

I tried to post a message from work today and they said my post will be reviewed by a mod before it is posted? I've never tried to post from this IP before so is this standard practice over there now? :barf: Just when I thought that website couldn't be any worse, they pull crap like that.

I'm with Adam. It suxxxxx. If they actually ran a bulletin board software from this decade, in which I could post a sig, I honestly believe my sig would be removed. The moderators there are like the gestapo. You can't ever say anything negative about anything on there. I could post a pic of a riced out civic painted with polka dots and if someone so much as says "that's ugly" it'll get removed.

Hummm... I actually frequent both PPBB and this site and I haven't had any problems with PPBB, no posts deleted or anything.

The folks on PPBB have been very responsive and helpful to all of the questions I've posted. Same is true of this site.

I enjoy both sites as they both have lots to offer. :cheers:

I really don't have a prob with the members there...it's the mods. I don't know if you're new over there too, but give it some time and you'll see what Jwocky and I are talking about.

Every other post is Off Topic. The people are lame and the mods are lame. They put you on moderated status if you disagree yet allow the "regulars" to flame away newbies (just look at the flames on there now about the RMS issue).

I really hope none of those dorks come over here.

This site has a collective good and positive attitude. There is almost no flaming at all. I kind of expect it sometimes on the net, but a good example here is the recent posts were someone had a pic of their BMW or motorcycle ect. . , and not a single person made a post about how awesome Porsche was an all other modes of transportation sucks.

There are many reasons why this website has been my Internet Explorer default web page for over a year. That’s about the best compliment I can give to a website.
