Limoncello - you still out there? I see you (or your namesake) put Danny De-vino,,,er Devito in a world of hurt on The View. At least maybe the last 7 limoncellos did it.
I saw him on Fox and Friends that morning and he seemed sober to me. Good thing he didn't insult Jews, Muslims or Blacks - he'd be apologizing and in counseling with Kramer, Mel, and the Pope.
you are suppose to sip it, not guzzle it down by the quart. Maybe he can hang out with Mel Gibson now and make the rounds

Dude thats a low blow. I really feel bad for this Mel Gibson you speak of. The media has just taken it too far. The have been after him ever since Passion of the Christ, and even before that they were after his father. Not cool at all.
Mel Gibson shot off his mouth and got what he deserved. He is lucky that the police did not take him for a 55mph screen test. Most people know that if you get pulled over by the police you keep your mouth shut and be polite. They are humans too and are just doing a job.

Actually it's the other way around. Mel and his wackjob dad have actively promoted their anti-semitic agenda in various media forums. The media is distributing what they say. I have no bias, either way, towards Jews, but when Hutton Gibsons refers to the holocaust as fiction, I think that's pretty offensive and "not cool at all".

his dad thinks the genocide in WWII was fiction. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Interesting back story there as the detective who busted Mr. Lethal Weapon was investigated by internal affairs for apparently baiting Gibson into showing his anit-semitic cards. Sounds like he had an agenda of his own as well.
Passion of the Christ was one of the VERY RARE instances where people forgot that religion or no religion, the cult of Dead Presidents is the one that reigns in Hollyweird. Allot of those execs are still kicking themselves in the backside for passing up a near Billion dollar box office. they don't make those every day.

They should be kicking themselves for not realizing that there are a large number of Christians in the country who would have an interest in viewing PotC. They shouldn't be kicking themselves for passing up the film on its artistic merits. Religious implications aside, the film is dull, gratuitously violent and enacted in a dead language, so one can understand their trepidation.

since when did dullness and gratuious violence ever stop hollyweird from drowning lots of $$$ into a hopeless film? Wasn't crouching Tiger in subtitles too?
Considering the number of bombs HW has put out and how they are being eclipsed by DVDs, there really was no reason why at least one major studio didn't pick up this movie. I think Hollwood had an agenda here and it let it get the better of them. I'm surprised they haven't put out a prequel or something to POTC. A movie about JC and his miracles before he got the death sentence would be like manna from heaven in Box office dollars. The Gospel musice industry had nearly tripled in the last four years, one of the fastest growing segments in entertainment.
Crouching Tiger was produced by asian companies.
Wasn't crouching Tiger in subtitles too?
Sure, when it was brought to the United States and other western countries. Obviously it wasn't initially produced/released with subtitles.
Over a billion people on the planet speak Chinese. About four people speak Aramaic.
Crouching Tiger was mighty dull, though !
Sorry, but if I'm a producer and some guy pitches a dull script on a controversial topic, with graphic violence and where everone is speaking Aramaic, Latin or Hebrew for 127 minutes, I'd probably say "thanks, but no thanks" too.

Back to limoncelllo, it really is the perfect way to end a big Italian dinner (that's the only kind of Italian dinner there is, actually). Served ice cold from the freezer, most people knock the shot back in one gulp. However, while in Italy (7 years), I can't recall anyone other than Americans having a second shot or more. It's a "cleanse the palette" kind of thing, where the lemon cuts through the heaviness of the tomato sauce, meats, etc.
Not at all recommended for shooting multiple shots - the sugar will tear your head off the next day in hangover form, as Danny probably discovered.
As noted in another post, I guess I should switch to sake now, but since I've never been to japan, I'll stick with limoncello. Cheers!

I'm a huge critizer of the media. But MG simply brought this on himself.....unless of course the Jews really cause all the wars, the blacks cause all the crime, the whites are all evil, and the muslims want to blow everything up.
