I'm so tired of hearing about it. The comedian was having a bad show,he was cut off by someone in the audience, made a desperate attempt to save the show by a racist remark, someone in the audience didn't take it(fired back with his own racial slurs) and someone happened to video tape it. I'm in no way a fan of Sienfeld or him and I feel for the guy.

The ironic thing here is that there are darn few of us who have never used these words or had these thoughts. That includes folks of all persuasions.
I think we could ALL be a bit more generous with our condemnation.

makes you wonder what the guy really believes. Look at Mel Gibson and his comments about Jews. Then he says I really don't beleive that. Oh really? Was it the alcohol?

Ummm, didn't you mean less generous with our condemnation?
I do agree with your statement though... let he who is without sin cast the first stone. If every public appearance I made was scritinized or video taped I'd have a lot to appologize for, and I work hard not to step on toes.

Opps, sorry. I meant compassion and understanding. Clearly not enough coffee this AM.
Thanks

You're absolutely correct, Randall. He is a public figure though.

Soup Nazi is very close to where I worked a few years back one day I was online for some Soup (he had shaved his mooostache at this point) and a big ass cadillac in really bad shape pulled up waiting for red the light. Inside the car was a mom and the these little fat kids in the back seats looking desheveled and generally trashy. The fat kids noticed the long line and looked up and saw the sour faced soup nazi giving everyone their ration and imeddiately they all start laughing and yelling at him:
"HA HA HA SOUP NAZI!!! NO SOUP YOU FOR YOU! HA HA HA NO SOUP FOR YOU".
This went on for several mintues LOL
The Soup Nazi shot the kids a really dirty look while whe all pretended not
to notice. ( I could see various people looking away to hide their amusement).
by the way the experience was EXACTLY how the show described it. Soup Nazi was not adept at customer service.
Ok this guy Michael Richards is well known to be insane. Sam Simon the producer talked about this for a long time on Howard Stern. He said Richards was a certifiable pyschopath. People feared him for these rants like a powder kegg. That he would go on these rants and threatened to kill people. One day he threatened SImon himself on the set of Richards failed sitcom and said
"I'll kill you SImon, I'm going to do it! I have a gun....I'll do the time!"
It makes sense too that Larry David never had Richards on Curb Your Enthusisasm but he welcomed Jason Alexander and Julia Louise Dreyfus and not sure about Seinfeld himself. David Knew Richards is a nutter.
Richards is also not even Jewish he's a FREE MASON and has had similar tirades against Jews in the past. The guy he called the N word said that the woman with cameraphone had only caught the tail end of Richards' lunacy as he was earlier insulting some Hispanic people in the audience with comments of "where did these Mexicans get the money for some drinks?"
He also said to the the black dude
"Oh yeah well gues what? I'm rich and you're a (N-word) and tommorow I will wake up and I will still be rich and you will still be a (N-word)".
This guy is not playing with a full deck. I guess we now know the Kramer oddball thing wasn't just an act. Seinfeld is crapping a bowling ball wondering if this will turn off allot of people on watching the Seinfeld reruns. I know I watched a few minutes the other day and I payed no attention to what they were saying and fixated on weirdo before flipping the channel.
btw (Perfectlap gets on his soap box)
I grew up in various parts of the world, and I've gotten to meet people of all races and ethnicities. Very early on I noticed that people who are racist are just plain stupid. They may have all the education and wealth in the world but they lack genuine sophistication. They are very low on the evolutionary totum pole.
Their brains may be big enough to understand astro physics or Black Scholes models but they aren't advanced enough to understand that they are no better than anyone else simply because of their exterior.

ya, what they dont show is the guy calling "kramer" a cracker, etc... Any video can be scewed to any perspective by editing. I mean look at all those "recut" videos on ebaumsworld, making The Shinning look like a family movie, and Big look like a nambla flick. I personaly dont believe media unless you see it from start to finish. A good example is Rodney King, they only video taped the beating but didnt show his reckless driving before it. Im not saying what those cops did was right, Im just saying there wasnt a fair account of incident, such with kramer. He still shouldnt have said that stuff, but he did, now he has to deal with it.

I don't know. I am NOT a big PC guy or anything, but I think that was grossly inappropriate.
I wouldn’t want to have someone video taping me all of the time either, but if someone did, while I imagine they would catch some bad stuff here and there, it would be nothing like me on a stage shouting racial slurs.
Weren’t there several other colorful words he could have chosen instead? The audience member was being rude, not black.
I am just glad no one got physically hurt. That could have ended badly...
Speaking of the show Seinfeld, have you guys seen the lost episode starring Mr Kramer? People are having a hayday with this. It may be wrong, but I couldn't help but laugh watching this. Here it is.

those two hecklers are trying to get money from kramer, but i think it should be kramer trying to get money off those two guys for ruining his career by trying to egg him on. it's a free country and getting on the guy for making racial comments is pretty lame, he's an actor not a saint.
It is obvious that the guy is mentally ill. My stomach was knotting up as I watched the clips from the comedy club and from the Letterman show.
I agree, the guy is not all there. What, if any career, he had post Seinfeld is now probably over for the guy but who knows?
It's a free country , but you can't yell FIRE in a crowded movie theater.
If you or Michael Richards want to have racist rants in public , be prepared to face the music.
Blaming the heckler is absurd!
why would blaming the heckler be absurd? if you make a living doing a job let's say a waitress, a guy comes in and talks trash about you at your job in front of your coworkers and public. what would you do? maybe some who agree with the act of heckling were not taught the rule if you don't have anything nice to say then leave or don't say it. whatever comes out of a guy with mental problem's mouth is not important even if it's a racist rant. who cares, it's his view. i can guarantee those two guys heckled him to get money off him, that's worst then a racist, that's a theif.

those two hecklers are trying to get money from kramer,
Uh, I think what he did was wrong, but how does his rant entitle anyone to money?
A lawsuit here is more rediculous than the incident itself.
Who cares? Who really cares anymore? Who cares about overpaid athletes, dumbass actors, the britney-paris-lindsey bimbos, politicians and kid fondling priests?
We have men and woman dying in Iraq, a huge immigration problem, a foreign policy that resembles the crusades, and various other issues that the media should be focusing on.
Sorry, just watched a couple minutes of CNN...heading to South America again for Christmas to execute our airtight foreign policy. Woo freakin' hoo. See you all in a month.
True DBTH, but the majority of us would never pull a stunt like that. I am just seriously tired of a small segment of our population getting 95% of the attention.
