The wife will not let me upgrade to a Dish Network HD package until all the Xmas bills are paid. I know what's gonna happen then ... "we spent so much on Xmas we need to hold off on the HD upgrade until the summer."

So, I am trying to figure out if an over the air antenna, plugged into my Dell Plasma will work. Anyone tried this? Any advice to offer me as to what brand of antenna to buy?

I was thinking of going to Radio Shack to check them out.

where i live, i can use regular (non-HD) rabbit ears to receive 85% of the stations with good signal. compnies like TERK make HD Bar antennas (literally a long bar) that i hear work well when stuffed in your attic.

Well, my bro in law has one and been using it for almost 2 years now. He has the Toshiba brand tv and bought the HDTV antenna @ Radio shack and it works pretty good

You can use an over the air antenna, but your set must have a built-in ATSC tuner. Some don't.
