I missed this movie when it was in theaters but I have to say its one of the funnier movies I've seen in a while. Those who know me well would say I'm maybe the hardest person to amuse. NASCAR deserves credit for so much self deprecating humor. I just may watch a few races this year.
p.s.
an honorable mention to the Chapelle Show Lost episodes. The bit with the
Chapelle as Werewolf, Charlie Murphy as Frankenstein and the other guy as Mummy was fall down funny.

I love how he downshifts when hes already going 8-9 grand. BTW Nascar drivers ONLY use 1st and 5th, the rest are just for show I guess, lol.

horrible movie, it was funny at the begining, but then proceeded to get worse.

Better than some of his other movies, but not good.

Why does toilet humor supposed to be funny in our current generation?

Not bashing you, but it wasn't to my liking.

I really wanted to like this movie too.

So I'm guessing you wouldn't enjoy holding the remote control for my 15 sound, supersonic fart machine when your mother in law sits down on the couch inches away from the speaker box?

My wife tells me I am a 12 year old boy trapped in a 44 year old body. So true.

I'm betting I would love that movie. I'll have to get it and watch it now.

For all those boxster driving, toilet humor lovers out there, here's a funny one just for you:

You're right... it is gross, especially the long, drawn out ending. Oh geez. I can't stop laughing either! :D

I'm such a turd for posting it. :D

You must have modded that fart machine cause there were more than 15 sounds on that clip. :)

how appropriate, there is a scene in the movie RN, where Ricky Bobby gets kicked off his team and spends all his time on his mom's couch learning ways to say thing like "I love you" with his flatulance. Mom doesn't approve even though Ricky Bobby insists he can have this patented.

I'm not really into bathroom humor, I notice Chapelle likes to delve into that type of humor as well.

But I do think that a sitcom based on Ricky Bobby would be genius. NASCAR is huge and the cultural differences would lend for hours of ridiculus story lines.

by the way, the outakes in the DVD are great. Ricky Bobby's two kids, Walker and Texas Ranger, should get academy award nods.

Now lets not bicker over what should be funny and what isnt funny...

Instead, Let us bow our heads and pray... Dear 9lb 8ounce Baby Jesus, I'd like to thank you for my Smoken boxster and all the complements i get from the ladys while driving it GIGGITY GIGGITY...

slowly degrading, allowing easy and shallow humor to become our mainstay level of humor.

That's all I'm saying.

Just my viewpoint.

If the joke doesn't refer, or have any sexual related, it's not funny...

Every other joke, had something crude in it.

Again, some jokes where funny. I love Will.

I just see our society diminishing into this low level, sex=EVERYTHING.

It's not good, I really hope you can see this.

I agree overall popular culture has taken a dramatic dip downwards in the last 6 years. We seem to have become extremely voyeuristic, superficial, materialstic and all around tacky at a record pace and comedies are the first place this 'dumbing down' of pop culture is reflected.
10 years ago I would not have found this movie to be funny. But the pickens are slim these days. Remeber 'trading places' you know when Eddie Murphy was actually a comedy guy and not trying to be a leading man?

But at some point you have laugh at something, as my better half would say "so whattttt do you think IS funny??"
I had no good answer.

I recently watched TN based on the recommendations in this post. A not so funny movie.

I am a big Will F. fan and all of his movies have at least one classic scene (think "Do you think KFC's still open?") but overall I thought it was pretty much crap.

Surprisingly I got more enjoyment and laughs from "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" which I saw on the same day.

I like the scene where WF's father comes to school and he tells the little kids
'The fastest is one that gets paid and the fastest is the one that gets laid!" All the 7 year old kids cheer... And then he peels out of the parking lot and the kids cheer him again.
I thought this was like a sort of flashback to when I use to watch the DUkes of Hazard back in the 70's and all my friends watched this stupid show religiously as well. Can't believe I ever watched a show like that.

I was forced to watch Super ExGF after the misus complained during the entire viewing of the Miami Vice remake on my suggestion(was a big fan of Heat).
I have to agree that she had the better pick.

just not many very good movies being made anymore. I have to really struggle to pick movies for my Blockbuster online membership. Think I'm going to cancel.

I think you and I were on the same American Airlines flight?

"I think you and I were on the same American Airlines flight?"

Nah, I saw them at chez moi. I have bad luck with in-flight movies, it's usually something I've seen already or don't care to see.

However, my last flight movie was "the devil wears Prada", which was pretty amusing in its own way and something I probably wouldn't watch otherwise. I recommend this chick-flick to my fellow chick-car drivers.

I downloaded it and watched it a couple of days ago due to the rave reviews here on the boxster forum. Funny... and really stupid. Just my kind of movie!

That little baby Jesus arguement after that awfully long prayer was hilarious!

I think i came down with something that sounds just like that this morning, must be the Christmas food, wine, buckley's, back pain killers, oysters, or maybe from kissing all the other old farts in my family. :barf: :D
