Ok, this year, if I really do win the Ashville Symphony's Cayman raffle, I have decided to sell it immediately and buy a low mileage 05 or 06 Boxster S. I just can't drive a 2.7 Cayman. I hope I win so I have this decision to make.

Would you keep the base Cayman or trade it for something else, or sell it and take the cash and do something completely different with it?

How do I buy into the raffle? However, if I win I would sell/trade it for a new Boxster S.

Google this: ashville symphony cayman raffle

You'll get it right away.

and unless you have $10k to put with the cayman, you can't simply trade a base cayman for a new boxster S.

Sell it, pay off those pesky student loans, buy an old Acura TL to replace my existing daily driver. Use the rest for a down payment on a house. But not after beating the P out of that Cayman for a month or so.

I think you are right on with selling it...the Cayman does NOTHING for me....I just looked at one again when I went to take my box to the shop....theygave me a loaner cayenne....so far impressive....

hey do that, keep your box and get a cayenne :)

I would sell it and use the money as a down payment for a house. A small 1,200 sq ft 2bedroom 1bath house that I want is over $400k here in Sacramento....WHY THIS IS SACRAMENTO?????NOT SAN FRANSISCO,LA,ORANGE COUNTY,SAN JOSE!!!!!!

Well - hard choice...

But if I won a Cayman, I'd sell it - then also sell my Box. Then I'd take some savings (without the mrs looking) and get into a 911 Turbo.

I would keep it, and sell my boxster, then drive it for about 6 months and then sell it or a used 03-newer Targa...cause i think im in love!

Base cayman goes up for sale ASAP!!
use the dough to buy a white/red or silver/red 05 CaymanS in a year or so.
I've been searching for the used CaymanS and they are holding up on resale quiet well. There are allot of coyotes waiting to snatch up CaymanS. All kinds of Porsche guys are eyeing them, GT3 owners, Boxster owners, 996 and 993 owners. I've had a hard time finding many low mileage CaymanS models at under $60K. Meanwhile GT3's which were nearly $100K less than a year and half ago are heading into the mid-low $70K's.

I think the 911GT3 RS (less than 300 will be made) and the CaymanS will enjoy the best resale of all the Porsches sold next year.

Sell the Cayman, sell my '02 986S and find the best 987S or Cayman S that is recently used/left over on a dealer lot that fits my tastes....

Otherwise try to find a '05 997S and move into the 911 world for a change
