Removed Coolant Tank

Just finished removing the coolant expansion tank and as expected it was cracked. Going to order one online any suggestions on who has the best price. Keep in mind I am in Canada.

I found one here for $101 USD - not sure what the deal would be for Canada but worth checking out...

Finally got to drive it. It's been weeks since I got it back after the new clutch, flywheel and IMSB job. The weather here has been miserable and too cold.

Changed the oil, changed to LN Magnetic Oil Pan Plug, changed over to the LN Oil Filter Spin On Filter Adaptor, changed engine air filter, and changed cabin pollen filter. Kinda proud of myself as I have never done those on a Porsche before. Only cost me $565.86. Next time though the ramps, tools, and parts are already purchased. I will only need just be filters, crush washer and oil next time.

My first DE at a racetrack
WOO HOOO Tons of fun

Here's a video of one of my sessions
This was at Spring Mountain Motorsports Raceway in Pahrump, NV
It was nice and challenging with some very fast corners, a couple of long straightaways and a tight hairpin. Nothing like going from 90+ in 4th to 25 in 2nd at the hairpin.

can't wait until the next track event for me in May

Today i looked for a new Engine, because apparently even after doing the IMS and all preventitive maintenance that wasn't enough to prevent the engine from failing at 80K camshaft failure to be precise!

I installed Infinity door and dash speakers. What a difference it made. The only question I have, would it sound even better with an aftermarket 4 channel amp since the doors really don't put out much of anything?

I followed the video on making the old dash speakers in to brackets and it was so much easier than I thought it would be. The Infinity 4" have a huge magnet so i lost the plug-in though so I had to change the wires in the dash.

Washed it in a light cold rain, it starts out wet and no worry about the finish drying before a rinse!

Today:

- Pulled the clutch and flywheel.
- Put together a list of items to order:
-LN Dual row bearing
-LN IMS Faultless Tools
-LN IMS Pro Kit

-Porsche
-RMS installation tool
-RMS
-New flywheel
-New pressure plate
-New clutch
-New clutch release bearing

Then, sat in the garage looking at the 2000 S. Had a couple of beers and just thought about how great it is going to be to get her back on the road.

I guess I can make a little list of things I have done.

New hood struts
Front rotors
Painted calipers
HID install
LED running lights
Push button start
Oil change
Headers
Crios Mod
Headunit install and relocation
HVAC relocation
Factory cupholders
Dash speaker replacement
Ignition switch
Top control hack
Radiator fan replacement
Interior LED bulb swap
New top with glass window

I think that is it for now. All of this since the end of November.

Wow, M4SGK1986, that is a shiny Boxster. Looks great!

We have a week to 10 days of 50s and 60s forecasted in the Minneapolis area, so I put the insurance back on, pulled off the cover, and went for a nice top-down ride today with my Daughter. Definitely the earliest Spring drive in the 7 years I have owned it. I'll need to get the orbital out soon to get it looking as good as yours!
