Is the headlight (height etc) for non-litronics adjustable?

If so, how? Also, has anyone tried those aftermarket "xenon" bulbs like PIAA etc. that give out white light? I know someone here tried Sylvania Silverstar and said you still get a tinge of yellow light. Thanks!

Whatever you do, don't get lights that exceed the Wattage rating for the OEM bulbs. For example, let's say your bulbs are rated at 55 Watts. Don't get an aftermarket bulb that's at 85 watts. I've seen many many lens covers browned and even melted by the hot burning bulbs.

yeah, thanks i know the stock bulbs are rated at 55W and any replacement must be the same wattage.

yea i have stressed the samething........don't buy stronger watt bulbs then the stock. i made the mistake of buying aftermarket white blubs, and have both my headlights burnt yellow....not only that, but i changed the two blubs at the bottom, what are they fog lights, and the blubs burnt the inside real good!

Getting back to your original question "Is the headlight (height etc) for non-litronics adjustable:



A - Headlight lateral adjustment
B - Headlight vertical adjustment
C - Fog light height adjustment

Using the Headlight tool from your tool bag


Lateral adjustment (screw A)

• turn clockwise = beam moves right
• turn counter clockwise = beam moves left

Vertical adjustment (screw B)

• turn clockwise = beam moves down
• turn counter clockwise = beam moves up

Note: the Fog light adjustment (screw C) should only be done by approved mechanic with an optical adjustment unit.

Aaahh errrr I drew it... yeah that's the ticket I drew it!

There was a Boxster Manual pdf floating around on a UK site awhile back and I spent a few hours downloading all of it (site had a small pipe), good thing cause a couple days later it was gone.

I think Boggtown or someone here had a post with the address for it.

It's quite nice with real nice graphics, but about 600Mb in size with 8 separate pdf files.
