... Porsche offered : The Family Tree" on their website.
A place where Porsche enthusiasts could "tell their story".
Immediately I uploaded mine.
About 4 months ago, I got an e-mail from PCNA, from their Online and Relationship Manager who told me that they (PCNA) had decided to select a few of the stories and make them into a limited edition book, which would be sent to the Porsche Family as a memento.
Also he told me that every one of the authors of stories selected would receive a book as well, and that only 1000 would be printed.
Well, this morning this is what I got in the mail:

Here's the letter that came attached...

... to a beautifully bound hard-cover coffee table book ...

... this is the first page...

... and this is my story...

It is a very nice gift I think from PCNA to the Porsche Family and to the contributors.
Very classy.

Now all I have to do is go to the Porsche Parade next year and have someone from the Porsche Family sign it for me.

Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

You've always exhibited class and an enthusiasm to help fellow Boxster owners, I couldn't think of a more worthy board member. Congrats....

That is a really cool story!

I remember that concept like it was yesterday and have a scale model of it on my desk at the office.

Back in '93, I was in my first year of college in Knoxville, Tn and anxiously awaited the model to go into production so I could see it with my own eyes.

One day around '97 I was driving down Kingston Pike and passed by Harpers Porsche....and sure enough....there sat one in the showroom...

I about had a wreck doing a 180 to go back and check it out, but from that day forward I was hooked and had to have one.

And now having had one for almost three years now, it has been truly a great experience. The boxster platform is truly unique in every way and a great priviledge to drive!!

Yes, a great story indeed. I have never lost confidence in my 97's ability to go 200K and I am even more confident now. Thanks!

Awesome story, and I can't think of a more deserving member either. I like how they printed your letter, including the acronyms and all.

That is one classy operation that they decided to do with this family tree business.
